Government won’t hike tax bills

Why did VW cheat?

A VW Group statement read: “As previously announced, all brand new Volkswagen Passenger Car brand vehicles which fulfill the EU6 norm valid throughout Europe are not affected. which therefore also includes the current Golf, Passat along with Touran designs.”

The figures also include 1.8 million light commercial vehicles.
