German automotive industry regulator Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) has announced the idea will be conducting independent emissions tests on cars in addition to also vans made by 23 different marques.

VW Group admits 800,000 cars may have false CO2 ratings; Porsche in addition to also petrol engines implicated

EPA alleges 3.0-litre V6 diesels also cheated system

UK’s 1.6 diesel fix won’t need a brand-new urea tank

The cars affected are 2009-2014 Jettas, Beetles, Golfs, Audi A3s, in addition to also VW Passats built via 2014-15.

The issue will be investigated by the US Congress’s Oversight in addition to also Investigations Subcommittee.

VW emissions scandal: how the idea unfolded

December 2014 VW issues a voluntary recall of approximately 500,000 vehicles to address the emissions issue.
