Custom Volvo Indoor The futuristic Concept 26 Indoor design study could provide the platform for Volvo to launch a bespoke car service

Volvo can be looking to launch a bespoke service for customers who want more luxury or unique colour schemes on their cars.

An appetite for high-end Volvos became clear when First Edition XC90s, priced at £68,000, sold out within 48 hours despite being available in only one colour as well as trim option. Volvo says the item sees increasing demand by high-end customers who want to customise their cars.

“Work can be ongoing to see what opportunities are there,” said Iain Howat, Volvo UK’s head of product. “If we do something, the item would certainly be along the lines of what they do with the Range Rover Autobiography. however we have to get the basics right.

“There are active discussions as well as mock-ups based on the Concept 26 Indoor have been made, which look very close to production.”

Volvo’s Concept 26 was designed to show how its next-generation interiors would certainly look, as well as was revealed at the LA motor show in November.
