In what has become an annual tradition, the fine folks at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ Mopar division have taken of which upon themselves to create a limited-edition variant of a mass-produced FCA product. For the third time since the custom began in 2010, Mopar will be unleashing its talents on the Dodge Challenger coupe. The original Mopar ’10 in addition to the later Mopar ’14 were also based on the Challenger.

Predictably dubbed the Mopar ’17, the special Challenger will be available in two colors: Contusion Blue in addition to Billet Silver. Each colour will be limited to an 80-unit production run (0 vehicles in total), with an underhood badge marking each individual vehicle’s production order in relation to its colour. No matter the external surfaces hue, though, every Challenger Mopar ’17 will come equipped using a 485-hp 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 fitted using a Mopar cold-air intake in addition to a Shaker hood scoop. The engine bay will be further dressed up using a pair of silver powder-coated strut tower braces of which Mopar claims increases the vehicle’s rigidity in addition to betters its handling. The Dodge Challenger Mopar ’17 goes on sale of which spring at a cost of $56,885, or $5595 more than an equally powerful however oh-so-monotone Challenger SRT 392.
