The Rare Beauty of Jaguar XKSS (1957) Review
Classic cars have their own beauty of model and design that makes the number of classic car fans increasing every year. During 1950’s until 1970’s, the model of the classic car was basically the same. It’s usually a long and wide car with open-top model and two capacities with driver seat and co-driver seat only. But each car has own color of beauty that will attract our eyes. And one of the most beautiful classic cars in 1950’s is Jaguar XKSS. It’s one of the cars in Jaguar XK series that lastly produced back in 1957. So this time, we’ll do Jaguar XKSS (1957) review.
Remarkable Things in Jaguar XKSS
Let’s continue the Jaguar XKSS (1957) review with the remarkable things in this car. The special thing about Jaguar XKSS is about thing that we see in that car that we can’t found in other cars. Well basically, that’s what we called special, right? This car was released not long after the not-too-successful Jaguar D-Type. That’s why many people expect this car will have similar design with the Jaguar D-Type. But that’s not the case. The most recognable thing from the exterior design of this Jaguar XKSS is probably the tail of the car. We can’t find the tail fin that was used in all Jaguar D-Type cars. We will also find the interesting about the speedometer, horn, and handbrake that are totally different style from the Jaguar D-Type. In this way, you can clearly see the rare beauty of the Jaguar XKSS.
The Engine of the Jaguar XKSS
The previous Jaguar XKSS (1957) review is about the special designs of the car. How about the engine? Well, there is slightly change in the engine, but many parts were the same as the previous models. The engine was 3.4 liter that produces 250 bph. The racing was quite smooth too even though this car was using four-speed gearbox.
