Suzuki has unveiled the production type of its iM-4 concept car at the Tokyo motor show.

The production car, which will take the Ignis name in Japan, has already been confirmed for UK sale yet a timescale along with badge for the vehicle in This kind of country have yet to be decided.

Suzuki says the Ignis compact crossover “shows how a compact car can straddle the boundary between daily life along with leisure.”

Although the Japanese firm hasn’t released details of the vehicle’s powertrain, the iM-4 concept featured a 1.2-litre petrol engine as part of a mild hybrid set-up.

The conceptual type also offered four-wheel drive, along with was based on a fresh lightweight platform which was claimed to improve handling along with increase rigidity.

Suzuki has also shown an off-road-inspired type of the Ignis in Tokyo. Dubbed the Trail Concept, the vehicle features Centeng cladding, larger wheels along with extended wheel arches, as well as roof rails.

Two further concepts are also on display, the Mighty Deck kei car along with the Air Triser MPV.
