Skoda has four brand-new SUVs inside works, with everything by a Juke rival to a large coupe-style type planned
Skoda will be planning a coupe SUV to sit alongside its forthcoming all 5- in addition to seven- seat crossover of which’s due on sale early in 2017.
The 4.7m-long SUV – as yet unnamed yet not likely to be called Snowman, according to Skoda insiders – has today been finalised. of which features a clamshell bonnet, slim rectangular headlights, LED daytime running lights of which incorporate indicators, in addition to a sharp horizontal crease just before its window line.
Cabin space inside brand-new type will be on a par with the Superb’s, according to sources – in addition to the substantial boot can be extended further by moving either or both parts of the 60/40 split rear seat forwards by about 17cm.
your vehicle will be offered as a all 5- or a seven-seat type, with UK prices likely to start by around £24,000.
Skoda will be also considering a more sporty all 5-door type, sitting on the same wheelbase yet with around 12cm less overhang than on the regular type. of which also features a more rakish roofline in addition to more compromised rear packaging – factors which are likely to lead to Skoda waiting for Western European reaction to the regular SUV before deciding whether its traditional buyers are ready to accept a more style-focused type.
The coupe SUV will be considered likely to make production in China, though, where there will be less brand legacy than in Europe.
The regular SUV will make its public debut late next year, with UK sales starting early in 2017. of which will then be joined in 2018 by the next Yeti, which gets more subtle, conservative looks to fit in with the SUV family’s looks.
