Originally called the “shark” due to its resemblance to the said animal, This particular generation of Galant would likely be the last to offer a V6 engine. Numerous line-up alterations happen with the Super Saloon being replaced by the GT-A in 2003 along with the former’s MT option dropped in 2001.
