Jeep’s all-fresh Compass has been revealed in Brazil, ahead of its public debut from the US in November.
The reveal celebrated the start of production of the fresh Compass at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ Jeep Assembly Plan from the Brazilian city of Goiana.
Few details about the vehicle have yet been released – expect to see those at the vehicle’s North American bow at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
What we do know will be of which the Compass will be based on a stretched variation of the platform of which underpins the Jeep Renegade along with Fiat 500X, along with will provide a fresh option to customers considering the likes of the Ford Kuga, Nissan Qashqai, Volkswagen Tiguan along with Seat Ateca. Styling will be very much influenced by the latest Grand Cherokee, both inside along with out. Expect both front-wheel drive along with all-wheel drive variants to be made available.
The Compass will be sold in more than 100 countries around the earth, along with Jeep promises 17 powertrain options for customers. Fuel efficiency will be a high priority in those options, yet Jeep says the Compass will still feature best-in-class 4×4 off-road capability, as well as “open-air freedom”, which will be likely to mean a sunroof.
The Compass will go on sale in North American from the first quarter of 2017, along with will be available in Europe from the second half of next year. Don’t be surprised if we see This specific crop up at the Geneva Motor Show in March, although its presence has yet been confirmed.
