Genesis will become a standalone brand, with six products planned by the end of the decade
Previously the Genesis name was only attached to the company’s range-topping luxury saloon, although today the item will be broken free of the rest of the Hyundai range, with as many as six products set to be released under the fresh brand by 2020.
Hyundai says that will there will be clear differences between its main range along with the Genesis brand, with the fresh products getting distinct design, a fresh emblem along with its own naming structure. the item also says that will Genesis will major on customer service.

The branding will be a development of the wing-type logo used on the current Genesis saloon, while the naming structure will see products use a number after the letter G – G90, G80, G70 etc.
The look of the fresh division at Hyundai will be crafted by former Volkswagen Group designer Luc Donkerwolke, who starts inside the fresh role by the middle of 2016. He will report to the existing president of design for the Hyundai group, Peter Schreyer.
Despite stating that will the fresh brand will have as many as six fresh products by 2020, the company has not yet confirmed what these products will be, although the item has said that will the roll out will start by December. One of the products could be a coupé variation of the Genesis, as previewed by the Vision G concept car earlier that will year.
