Fines For Speeding Set For Big Jump…
the idea has been confirmed which via April 2017, higher tariffs will be imposed upon those who are the most serious speeding offenders. The fine imposed currently sits around a maximum of 100% of the guilty party’s weekly wage. This specific will jump up to 150% of their weekly wage via April 2017.
This specific can be a maximum of £1,000 on roads below the national speed limit, whilst motorways have a maximum fine of £2,500 attached. The figure will not be changed by the upcoming amendment to legislation. Figures to which the rise will likely be attributed to are (per the sentencing council):
- 20mph speed limit; 41mph along with above recorded speed of driver
- 30mph; 51mph +
- 40mph; 66mph +
- 50mph; 76-85 +
- 60mph; 91mph +
- 70mph; 101mph +
So what do you think of the brand new rate? will be the idea fair to fine a person so much for a speeding offence, or will be the idea proportionate when someone will be travelling potentially in excess of over 100 miles per hour? Answers as always are invited inside comments section below.
