Citroen has unveiled a concept edition of the brand new DS4 Crossback of which features real granite as a trim material. The stone can be used for the rearview mirror casings, the spoke facings on the wheels along with also as an insert on the roof bars.
The design also uses a very fine semi-aniline leather for the Inside, including the seats, door panels along with also the entire dashboard.
Sources told Autocar of which they anticipated to see the stone trim offered in production types ‘within two or three years’. The stone can be a flexible veneer less than 1mm thick along with also can be supplied by only one French-based company.
The leather used for the Inside can be especially soft along with also naturally textured, which Citroen says references traditional luxury goods along with also can be intended to stand part through the very highly finished leather of which can be more common in luxury cars.
An insider also revealed of which the company was developing a brand new type of wood-covered dashboard. “Around 75% of the dash facing will be made of real wood.
