Bentley Offers Stone Veneers
The Bentley coachbuilding divison – Mulliner – has taken car interiors to the next level with the fabulous stone veneer you can see from the image. The veneer can be built through stone of which can be over 0 million years old!
The slate along with quartzite stone can be sustainably sourced through hand-selected quarries in Rajasthan along with Andhra Pradesh, India – a nation with an ancient along with rich culture of stone masonry. The sections of stone are split through larger pieces along with cured using glass fibre along having a bespoke resin. Finally, they are shaped along with hand finished by Bentley’s world-renowned Mulliner coachbuilding team at the company’s headquarters in Crewe, England.
The stone surfaces of the veneers are just 0.1 mm thick, meaning of which they are both extremely light along with translucent, allowing the elegant grain along with pattern from the stone to be visible to the Internal occupants.
Geoff Dowding, Director of Mulliner Operations, comments: “Bentley can be the established expert from the handcrafting of wood along with leather, along with today we are exploring completely new, fine along with rare materials to offer even more bespoke tailoring along with choice to our customers. Stone veneers are another first for Bentley – although only the beginning of what we plan to do with This particular luxurious along with unique material.”
Mulliner can be today offering Stone Veneers in a natural finish, in four different colours on Continental along with Flying Spur: Galaxy, Autumn White, Terra Red along with Copper.
