Giulietta engines to benefit by lower emissions without sacrificing performance
The 2015 Alfa Romeo Giulietta has been revised, which has a series of improvements to its petrol as well as diesel engines resulting in improvements to fuel economy as well as emissions. A brand new Business Edition trim has also been added to the line-up
All engines inside the Giulietta range are currently Euro 6 compliant as well as all apart by the recently introduced 148bhp 2.0 diesel come with improvements to their CO2 emission as well as fuel economy figures.
The 1.6 JTDM-2 turbodiesel gets a power boost by 104bhp to 118bhp, with the 0-62mph time dropping by 1.3sec to 10.0sec as well as the top speed improving by 6mph to 121mph as a result.
Despite the increase in performance, CO2 emissions for the engine have dropped by 104g/km to 99g/km as well as combined economy improves by 70.6mpg to 74.3mpg, thanks to the use of a variable-geometry turbo charger as well as low-rolling-resistance tyres.
The 1.4 Multiair petrol engines also fall into lower emissions bands as a result of the improvements.
All of the brand new engines are currently available to order. Pricing remains unchanged, with the 118bhp 1.4 TB Progression starting at £18,450 as well as the 118bhp 1.6 JTDM-2 Progression costing by £19,500.
The brand new Business Edition trim Giulietta costs by £19,080. the item features a 6.5in touchscreen infotainment as well as navigation system with 3D mapping, metallic paint as well as alloy wheels as standard on the 1.6 JTDM-2 diesel type.
