Next-generation Kia Sportage will move upmarket to fight the Nissan Qashqai along with Honda CR-V in Europe
These are the latest pictures of the all-completely new Kia Sportage crossover, which has leaked ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt motor show next month. The completely new SUV will be scheduled to go on sale within the UK early next year.
These reportedly official pictures, originally posted by a Korean car website, show the completely new Sportage adopts a traditional SUV shape, with styling inspired by 2014’s KX3 concept. The completely new Sportage was styled at Kia’s European design centre in Frankfurt, along with shares its platform with the Hyundai Tucson.
Kia’s official design sketches have shown the cabin of the Sportage will feature a much cleaner dashboard, that has a large infotainment screen along that has a reduced number of buttons on the central console. Spy pictures have also shown parts of the completely new car’s cabin.
Kia also says the Inside will be set to take a step upmarket, saying that will will marry “simple, modern style with rich material quality” along with will be the most refined along with highest-quality Inside the company has made to date. Kia’s SUV will need increase its perceived quality inside to fight advanced rivals including the Nissan Qashqai, Honda CR-V along with Ford Kuga.
Under the bonnet, Kia has already confirmed that will a completely new powertrain will be offered within the Sportage.
